First draft "Social media has too much power"

      Social media like; Internet and television influence to people’s behavior, ideology, culture and politics. It is because nowadays, they have many spectators, large part of the population has a TV, computer or smartphone in their house, which makes it easy to create a trend in the society. Some people say that they had not been influenced by social media. Some people say that they have changed their opinion once or twice because of the social media. Internet and television should be limited because the society has to be critical themselves and not be influenced by status quo, to think and to do what they want. Social media want to turn into a new hegemony for this generation.      Firstly, everyone should be a critical thinker which means that you are able to analyze and evaluate of an issue in order to form a judgement. "The difference between humans and chimpanzees is not morally arbitrary. We judge other humans according to moral standards. We do not judge non-humans, including apes, according to moral standards. One could not trust an ape around children, or even adults. That's why they are kept in cages. Chimps may have 97% of the same DNA as humans, but we do not expect them to follow moral rules. Firstly Henry Giroux talks about the importance of students/learners in the universities, they have to take a critical position towards the university counts in a democracy. It is because largest corporate and market driven force to think in a different way, They try to become   you in a passive person in front of educational policy, in order to take control of the institutions. As a result, democratic institutions and public schooling are being downsized, if not altogether disappearing.   This is a big problem because this market had been increasing during the years, it had been getting power.  According to Giroux (2013) “we should develop educational approaches that reject a collapse of the distinction between market liberties and civil liberties.” Then, teachers should be able to develop a critical pedagogy that can give solution to the traditional pedagogies, such as: neoliberalism and anti-democratic traditions.
