How do you think we could empower our Colombian students to critically spot fake news?
Nowadays fakes news had been increasing during last years, it is because of the disinformation. Young people believe most of the articles they read, it is because they do not know how to differ between the real or false information. Teachers should be teaching to children how to get real and validated information (input) in school. Disinformation is a big problem nowadays, it is because children would grow up believing in wrong information, then they would share it. As a result, it will be a chain misinformation. For example; sometimes young people think that an article is true because they saw a video, or they had had experience about it. Then, they would defend that idea or that article as if it was true, (Young people can give you support points based on they experience or other articles they had read in the past).
